How refreshing from the everyday routine can a hangout session be...!! All the more better when its with your friends; all girls night-out (evening here); at a bar; gossiping; chatting over glasses of velvety wine.
As far as I remember, we never intentionally planned this visit. All of us were out, shopping and later at Starbucks, until when we started walking our ways back home, "Yates's" the sports bar, fell our way. We thought it was too early to go back home and too late to not have visited Yates's yet. So we threw ourselves into the doors, and there we were; at Yates's finally.
Yates’s Southampton, is in the heart of the town, next to West Quay shopping centre. During the daytime, they offer a plush (but easy-going) atmosphere, with a vibrant lunchtime trade, or an easy venue to chill, meet, eat and drink, with Sky and ESPN sports on their 2 biggest screens and other plasmas. By night, Yates’s becomes one of the best late-night venues in the area. They have something for everyone across the week, from quids-in Thursday, huge party nights on Friday and Saturday, and the biggest pub quiz in Southampton on Sunday evenings. They have three amazing resident DJs, plus a sound system and lighting rig envied by many franchises in the same fraternity. Yates's is by far the best sports bar in Southampton with their 16ft BIG screen!
If you love sport, great music covering all ages and genre, fab value good food, fast efficient bar staff, and generally a happy fun place to be then Yates's Southampton has to be the best place for miles around! It is an environment where locals, New Forest folk, uni students, visiting footy fans, and groups of friends of all ages can feel comfortable together enjoying the best things in life.

The nightlife in Southampton is extremely varied and caters for everyone’s tastes. The city offers a variety of traditional and historic pubs, alongside funky bars and music venues to satisfy its thriving student scene. Whether you are looking for an elegant cocktail bar, an urban-country pub, a gig venue or booming night club, Southampton will not disappoint you.
So, this picture, I had to instagram, it being one of my first outings with the girls after moving to the UK. (one of the firsts from my list of firsts this year! ;)
