Sophie Kinsella- Shopaholic abroad

Helloooooo my beautiful friends!! :* I know I've been away for soo long, and haven't been able to write in here. My apologies. But I've been caught up in a number of things lately, and am also coming up with more exciting things for you guys!! :D ;) Such as videos! But anyways, hope you guys are awesome today!!

Okay so what do we talk about today?? Ummmm, let me see if I could find an interesting post from my Instagram folder ;)

(After exactly 3 mins.....)

My worthy investments

Hahhhhh!! Lets talk about my books today! :D Actually book. I have only read 'Shopaholic Abroad' by Sophie Kinsella yet. Not the the one below, 'The way we were'; because that I am  saving for a particular occasion.

So how could I not have purchased a book about a shopaholic woman?? I love to read relatable stuff you know; quotes, novels, articles, posts....anything. And by now I'm sure you guys know to what extent I am a shopaholic! A very proud one too!! :D Well, as I visited the book store, WH Smith in Southampton, I was looking all around for good stuff to read. Just for the record, as much as I love to write, I also love to read. Romance, crime, fiction and comedy are a few genres that my eyes and mind love to find pages smitten in.
As I looked around scanning from section to section, department to department, I laid my eyes on this particular one! I ran to it and grabbed it. (You know the typical shopper instinct devil in your head that tells you to go grab something you like quickly, or someone else would lay their hands on it, and you'd spend your life crying! Even if there are piles of it :P) But as I read the author's name, my hand slapped the back of my head in an imaginary way, as I wondered how I never went about looking for this particular book! After having watched 'Confessions of a shopaholic' about 50 times by now, THIS should have been my next obvious move, since the rest of Kinsella's works, remained confined to just novels.

Alongside this particular one, there were other novels by Kinsella; "The undomestic goddess", "The shopaholic ties the knot", "The secret dreamworld of a shopaholic" and I also spotted " The wedding night". I could relate to all her books, as her style of writing attracts me alot, and every book title has the world shopaholic :P, but what I could relate with mosttt right now, was "Shopaholic Abroad". Hahah....and hence the choice.

The book is a typical compilation of wit and laughter. Its a laugh-a-minute-read. The story revolves around the life of Becky Bloomwood, as you guys may know her, from "Confessions of a shopaholic". And for those who haven't watched the movie, well, Becky is the protagonist who is a shopaholic. But ironically enough, also a financial advisor on TV. The stories involve humour from her everyday life events and various phases of life.

Into the book...
As for this particular book, Life looks good for Becky Bloomwood. She has a great relationship with boyfriend Luke as well as a steady job giving financial advice on television. Furthermore, she is on good terms with her bank manager, Derek Smeath. Life becomes problematic for Becky when Mr. Smeath retires from Endwich Bank and Luke announces he wants to make it big in New York; big changes are in store for Becky. She takes to New York like an angel to heaven. Becky has never been happier and you will be treated to Becky seeing the Guggenheim in a unique way, winning the attention of employees at Barney's and discovering sample sales. Becky spends a substantial amount of money, but is sure she's financially secure, with the job offers on TV piling up. She also justifies her expenses by convincing herself that the items are an investment in the future.

Dwindling between the big new city, job offers, and boyfriend Luke, Becky drops and rises over and over again, not forgetting to make you readers laugh at every minute.

Fun, romance, humour, shopping....need an all in one package? This book couldn't be a better amalgamation!

Refreshing to the mind and friendly to the wallet, the book cost me 2.50 pounds only (On sale, but otherwise just 6 pounds)

For me, it was a definite buy; and if you buy it, do not forget to share your experiences reading it, with me down below.

Lots of loveee!!!
